The aim of this regeneration is to provide a much better living environment for our existing and our future residents.

There is already a strong sense of community at the Sutton Estate and we want to maintain and enhance this. All our existing residents will remain on the Estate and will be able to move straight into new homes that meet modern living standards. We’ve worked closely with residents and encouraged them to let us know their preferences and ambitions for the Estate, and we will continue to work closely with them

We urge residents to keep an eye out for any upcoming activities or updates via this website page, Chelsea Chat newsletters and posters up at the notice boards.

Regeneration Steering Group

At the June 2014 consultation event, we invited residents to join a Steering Group to work with us on our proposals and to ensure that residents needs and ideas were incorporated.

We were delighted that residents formed an active steering group of 20 members, including a representative from the Estate's Resident Association - CATs. Members of the group have an agreed constitution and an elected Chair.

To date, members have taken part in a number of workshops looking at the communal gardens, community centre and apartment layouts and held meetings to discuss how they gather input from other residents

Road trips

A number of road trips have been held to allow residents the opportunity to visit one of our other current regeneration schemes.

  • October 2014
  • February 2015
  • March 2015
  • July 2015

Informal events

Residents have the opportunity to catch up informally with the regeneration team over coffee and cake in the residents’ lounge.

The most recent event took place in December over mulled wine and mince pies.

Back in the summer the regeneration team hosted a BBQ for residents – unfortunately the weather let us down so it became an indoor BBQ!

Showcasing designs

We held a drop-in event for residents on 10 September 2015 to update on the planning application and to showcase the submitted designs.

Residents also received a brochure that outlined the proposals and provided them with useful information.

In addition to the above Clarion has continued to support the annual pantomime and seaside trip for residents as well as the Christmas Party and Summer BBQ.
